So you’ve decided you will start an online business?
And you now know that you should start blogging.
Money isn’t everything. But being poor isn’t a choice that people consciously take.
And if you are starting a business, you are wanting to make money.
You have made a conscious decision. Congratulations! I know so many people who will not make that decision, and stay in their current unhappy situation. You have made a decision, and you are different.
Now 80% of bloggers don’t even make $100 from their blog.
So to actually make money from this, rather than write purely for your own creative release, or for other’s entertainment, there are some things you need to do.
1. Have a vision.
A vision is different from goals.
You need to see yourself in a better situation than you are at the moment.
You need to know that you can do this, no matter what, and see it very clearly.
No matter that you think you can’t write, you think no one will read your blog or listen to you.
No matter that you actually are not 100% sure of this idea that daily blogging is going to get you anywhere : surely buying advertising would be better.
No matter that you can come up with any excuse for not doing it.
Your vision is what you want to become. Bright and clear in you mind.
Your blog is one of the main things that will get you there.
2. Have goals.
The goals are the things that you achieve on the way to your vision.
Day by day.
Your blog is your partner in your business.
Blogging achieves your success for you over months and years.
You will not be starting as a front runner. You need to get yourself warmed up, trained, and then start running.
Day by day actions are what will get you there.
First set up you blog. If you are new, this may take a whole day. No matter how easy the process. It may take two.
You are not a failure because you seem to find it so difficult. You couldn’t ride a bike the first time you took the handlebars of one.
Celebrate your small wins. Congratulate yourself.
Two days later, you are then a massive step nearer you vision that you were.
And you have completed our first goal.
Write down every day what you have done.
When you look back over the month, you will be amazed at the stuff you have done. Reward yourself.
Move on to the next goal…
3. Create Content
This is obviously the biggest part of blogging!.
Because once you have got all the technicalities sorted out, this is what you will be doing daily.
So you set up your blog and you sit in front of the blank screen thinking: what am I doing? I can’t write.
Some people have no problem with ideas. Or even have a problem with too many ideas, so don’t know where to start.
A lot of people really struggle.
“I know I have to do this, but I just can’t!!”
Ok, so you are reading this. Yes?
So you are listening to me.
You may think anything you want, that this is helpful, this is rubbish, you like it, you don’t.
But you are reading it.
So why should someone not read yours?
You need to create content with authority.
Learn and teach.
If you have spent years in fitness or weight loss programmes, then you have learnt a lot.
Blog about it. Teach people what you know.
If you are learning internet marketing, then teach what you have learnt.
People want to know that you are a real person, and that the information you have is from your experience: Been there, done that, and this is what it was like. This is what went wrong and how to avoid it for you.
4. Serve your audience
..You are wanting to help people. You don’t want them to have the problems you had.
You want to help with their problems.
And usually that is by sharing with them what you know works and what doesn’t work
That is what teaching is all about.
Sharing your knowledge with other people.
Letting other people see that you are just a normal person trying to make your way in life, and make it better
for yourself, and for them.
So instead of sitting there thinking..what can I say?
Think: what can I say today that will help somebody?
So, as I said before, money isn’t everything. But being poor is not where anyone would consciously choose to be.
Money is a magnifier.
There are a lot of givers in the world. But if you are struggling for your own survival, if every day you are just trying to keep yourself together, you don’t have a lot of time or strength to do much for other people.
However, if you have money, with the freedom that it brings, then you have time to help others, the energy to do it, and you have resources to use in anyway you want.
If your blog can do that for you, and you can work with it to do that, you can be in a better situation, day by day month by month.
Create your vision.
Set your goals.
Change your life.
This is what I am using for my blogging platform.
TRY IT OUT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS.
Wishing you every success.
